If you ever get a chance to “Spend A Day with Danni” – don’t hesitate!
You can ask her anything about anything. LOL
Plus… it’s an education (so a business expense) and of course it’s a blast as well.
I’ve shopped before with Danni… sourcing at thrift stores in Las Vegas.
That was an exhausting few days, but I came home with so much information in my head! That first trip sourcing with Danni was just the two of us (and my hubby tagged along) – so it was not formal on the spot (rehearsed) education. We just shopped next to each other… and shared our ideas and thoughts.
This last trip – was an “event”! Danni usually does these “Shopping with Danni” days around an event that she is attending (and speaking at most of them). I thought this shopping trip would be more “structured” – but Danni just wings it as she goes along. I loved the free flow of conversation, tips and ideas! I was also glad that I was recording (on video) most of the day… it was just too much to take in all at one time and try to remember it all.
We were a group of about 12 descending on an Antique Mall in the morning and after lunch – we powered through a full course of “Sourcing at an Auction House“. Then most of us dropped into a thrift store for one last bit of sourcing. What an exhausting day… but soooo worth it!
Of course – we were all learning about sourcing products to sell on Ebay – not sourcing new or wholesale products to sell on Amazon. I’m still a newbie on Ebay and really out of my comfort zone. Some of the others in this group are just about as green as I am… and others were very experienced. I love to be in a small group like this and learn.

Teaching At Antique Mall
Of Course Danni Found Her First Score
Danni Antique Road Show Find
Danni was headed out California the next day – she had tickets to the Antique Road Show. She talked about her adventure on her Video-cast that evening.
One of the “scores” she took to the Road Show were these two paintings.
She found them while “teaching” at the Antique Mall. You can see “Why” she thinks these paintings might be a score here:
During Danni’s Video-cast – she also talked about a “Score” that ” I ” found.
We were all walking down one of the hallways in the Antique Mall and for some reason I spot this pretty piece of glass sitting on a lower shelf of an old wood bookcase. Most of us would not have taken a second look… thinking that anything “valuable” would be in a glass case and showcased under lights. I picked up the glass because it looked colorful and pretty… knowing that it wouldn’t be worth anything.
Okay… I’ve seen this glass before – somewhere. Hmmmm…. This thing is “HEAVY” when I pick it up. I turn it over and the sticker reads “Murano Glass Bowl – $85”. What am I thinking? “If the seller knows it’s Murano… then the price must be priced at about retail. Right?
Danni happens to be walking past me at this very moment… I kind of swing my hand (holding this glass) out in front of her. Her eyes got really big and she had this little “Gasp” that escaped her lips. Now… Normally, if I put something out like this in front of Danni, she would challenge me. She would start asking me “What do you know about this glass?”. She knows I’ve watched here Murano Glass Webinar several times.
She did ask me one question – and I couldn’t answer. So sad… I couldn’t remember the name “Tutti Frutti” for the style of glass I had in my hand.
Soooo…. this piece of glass is $85. Danni says “If you don’t buy it… I’m taking it”. I bought it. Mid-Century Murine Tutti Frutti Pattern – Authentic! She estimates selling price at $300. I actually asked for a discount and got 10% off. I also had my sales tax certificate. Total cost $76.50. I hope it’s a score.
Danni and I fighting over this special piece of Murano glass:
Learn Auction House Skills
We went to McManus Auctions in Henderson (right outside of Las Vegas). What a great education we had! Danni has a new guide in the works – all about Buying At The Auction House For Fun And Profits. (Soon!). It was amazing to watch her in this auction house… she is very comfortable in this environment. Did you know that Danni worked for an Auction House? No wonder she has so many insider secrets!
Okay… that’s all for now kiddo’s. I’ve got to get busy listing some of my great finds from this trip over on eBay.
Have a great weekend scouting,
