Do you spend hours and hours driving from store to store…. looking for those elusive deals?
I DO love to shop… but, I am not a shop-a-holic. I would rather sit at home and source online, and have all that beautiful merchandise land on my doorstep.
For instance, I shopped last week for a few hours. Online! Within a few days, boxes started arriving filled with lovely bunches of products.
I’ll confess right now, I was busy with other projects and stacked the boxes neatly in the corner. Saturday was my processing day, and I did spend 3 hours processing the inventory, getting it ready to ship off to several Amazon warehouses.
I finished up on Sunday, spending another 3 (ish) hours.
Because I order quantities of each product (not usually one or two) – I like to empty all the boxes of one type of product and line them up on my work table. I also check the quantities shipped to me against my orders, just to make sure everything arrived.
I usually process all the beauty products at the same time, groceries separately and then home goods. This process helps me stay focused in each category.
Charlene and I recently talked extensively about why we like to sell small products on a Thrifting for Profit Podcast/Small Product.
This weeks sourcing is a perfect example of this, all the products are small. My shipment may not look large, but these boxes are packed with inventory.
Sourcing online IS a beautiful thing:
I’ve been sourcing products online (off and on) for 3 years, this year I am focused on using every available strategy. I thought I knew EVERYTHING. I was wrong… it happens. 🙂
I spent some time “grilling” Jessica Larrew and Matt Carlett about Online Sourcing Strategies:
I took this course and learned some very valuable tips, including how to save a significant amount of my sourcing dollars.
